The service

UmBreak is a free, browser-based utility that transcribes audio on your device and helps you remove filler words. It is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind.

AI transcription accuracy

Transcription is performed by an on-device AI model and will contain errors, especially with accents, jargon, overlapping speech, or noisy recordings. Do not rely on UmBreak output for legal, medical, or other high-stakes purposes without human review.

Acceptable use

Only process audio you have the right to process. Do not use UmBreak to edit recordings of other people without their consent where consent is required by law.
Do not attempt to disrupt the site or misrepresent the tool's output as human-verified where it matters.

Your content

You keep all rights to your audio and transcripts. Because processing happens locally, we never receive your content in the first place.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UmBreak is not liable for any loss arising from use of the tool, including inaccurate transcriptions or edits.
